I was asked to edit a new monthly homes magazine that would be distributed free with the Guardian newspaper's Saturday edition. The role involved:

 

- Devising the launch editorial, working to a brief to produce a high-end, design-centric magazine suitable for a broadsheet newspaper readership (50/50 male/female).

- Recruiting and managing staff

- Day to day production of editorial: generating ideas, flat-planning, sourcing real homes, writing, commissioning, sub-editing, art directing shoots, amending layouts and signing off final proofs

- Fostering relations with the design, architecture and PR communities pre-launch to ensure that the title would have a high industry profile
